Presentations which involve multiple slideshows are not something difficult, especially if they are prepared in time, but they can be made seamless with the right applications. One of the best examples is SlideDog. This lightweight application gives you the possibility of compacting multiple slideshows into a single presentation, regardless of size or format. It can run anything, from PowerPoint slideshows to videos, without converting anything.

SlideDog works on Windows Vista and later versions and a Mac OS X edition will be available soon. Although the free version comes with less features, compared to the paid one, its core functionality remains unrestricted. You will have to install additional programs, depending on what type of slideshows you wish to run. For PowerPoint presentations, you will need MS PowerPoint 2007 or any later versions. You will also need VideoLan VLC Media Player for videos, Adobe Acrobat reader for PDF documents and Google Chrome for web contents.

The clean and simple design of the user interface enables you to prepare and play your presentations in no time. All you have to do is import your contents in the lower region of the main window and click a button, located in the upper right corner. Contents can be imported by dragging and dropping files or by selecting them on a standard Open dialog.

You can import PowerPoint presentations, PDF documents, images, local or web videos and web pages. Imported items are displayed as thumbnails and you can arrange them in a different order, by clicking and dragging. They are displayed the same way during the presentation. Besides jumping from one slideshow to another, you can also jump to specific slides. The software can display default or custom images, between presentations, which makes it easy to notice when a presentation ends and another one starts.

SlideDog provides support for multiple monitors. This means that you can control your slideshow on one monitor and your audience will see only the presentation itself, on a different display.
